Conveniently situated on the Costa Blanca, just over an hours drive from either Alicante or Valencia airports. Our detached two bedroom villa is well equipped to cater for all of your holiday needs, complete with air conditioning and private pool. Casa Alegria (happiness/contentment), is equipped as a comfortable home, and not as a basic holiday home. Casa Alegria is located in a residential area just a short walk from the centre of the rural Spanish village of Orba, with its many amenities, and the Orba valley floor with its masses of orange groves. Casa Alegria and the village of Orba have breathtaking mountain scenery all around, with views to the sea from parts of the valley, sandy beaches are just a 20 minute drive away.

Casa Alegria is approximately 140 square metres build, and is very private, with generously proportioned rooms, on a fully enclosed and secured flat plot. There is a large enclosed naya creating a very light and sunny room equipped with double sofa bed and comfortable seating. Leading off this room is the main living room with a dining area. The well equipped kitchen connects to both the dining area and the naya. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room and the second twin bedroom has access to the main bathroom. Unlike most Spanish villas, Casa Alegria has only two steps to enter the villa, and one step internally from the naya into the main part of the villa. The villa's driveway has a secure gate, a car port and plenty of driveway space.

Casa Alegria has a private 8 metres x 4 metres pool, with a depth ranging from 0.9 metres to 1.8 metres. The surrounding pool area is fully equipped with sun loungers and patio furniture, which provides a perfect area for all day sunbathing. The garden has a pergola and additional patio furniture where you can sit quietly in the sun or shade, ideal for al-fresco dining and for all those barbecues. This classic Spanish villa is extremely well equipped to a very high standard. The naya and living rooms have ceiling fans and air conditioning, and both bedrooms are also air conditioned. Included in the villa are Wi-Fi internet access, Satellite TV, UK free to air channels available, DVD Player, PlayStation (PS1), two full size fridge/freezers, dishwasher, washing machine, built-in single electric oven, 4 ring gas hob, microwave, and a log burning fire.

Casa Alegria is a non-smoking property, and as the garden is mainly gravel, the villa is not suitable for wheelchair users. Pets are not permitted in the villa. Accommodation

The villa is approximately 140 square metres with well proportioned rooms consisting of:-

• Living/Dining room - well equipped with Wi-Fi internet access, Satellite TV, DVD Recorder/Player, CD player and PlayStation (PS1). The living room provides seating for six on two leather sofas, the dining area also provides seating for upto six people. This room has air conditioning (hot and cold) a ceiling fan, and a log burning fire for cosy winter evenings.
• Kitchen - with built in single electic oven and 4 burner gas on glass hob, dishwasher, microwave and full size fridge/freezer.
• Naya / Sun room - large additional sitting room with comfortable seating for six and includes a double sofa bed. Air conditioning (hot and cold) and a ceiling fan.
• Master bedroom - air conditioned (hot, cold and fan only) with king size pocket sprung divan bed, ample wardrobe space, and en-suite shower room. Travel cot available if required.
• Second bedroom - air conditioned (hot, cold and fan only) with twin divan beds, and ample wardrobe space. The divan beds can be pushed together and made up as a superking bed.
• Family bathroom - bath with shower over, basin and WC.
• Laundry/Utility room - with washing machine and second fridge/freezer.
• Linen and towels are provided including towels for use in the pool and on the beach.
• Welcome food hamper to get you started, available on request.

Outside, there are areas around the villa where you can sit quietly in the shade or sun. The garden is mainly laid to gravel.

Orba Village

The valley of Orba, from which the village takes its name, has a mild climate, excellent water and is surrounded by orange groves, lemon trees, almonds, and of course olives. The village sits at the head of the valley surrounded by mountains with the Mediterranean sea at the valley foot. Orba is a small, typical Spanish country village with something over 2,100 inhabitants. The area still retains its local Spanish culture with many Fiestas during the year, featuring a wide variety of different events including dancing in the streets, firework displays, marching bands, religious celebrations and parades.

Amenities and Facilities

Orba has three banks with 24 hour cash machines, supermarket, grocery shops, bakeries, butchers and numerous other shops to satisfy just about every need. There are a number of reasonably priced bars and restaurants, all within easy walking distance of the villa. These include a Pizzerria and of course traditional Spanish cuisine.

There is also a sports complex which includes a public swimming pool (as with all local villages), tennis court, basketball and football pitches, and a pelota court.
Between 20 and 40 minutes away, there are several golf courses to choose from depending on your budget and ability.
Nearest sandy beach is a 20 minute drive from the villa, there are several, busy or quiet, sandy or pebble beaches to choose from.

Casa Alegria and Orba village are situated 20km (12 miles) inland from the popular coastal resorts of Javea, Denia and Calpe, and just over an hour's drive from the airports of Alicante and Valencia via the AP-7 motorway, exit 62 Ondara (for Orba). Turn inland straight up through the orange groves for 5 miles, Orba is the second pretty whitewashed stone village at the foot of the mountains. We recommend hiring a car from the numerous competitive rental outlets at the Airports.

We prefer payment by bank transfer or cheque. We can accept payment via PayPal services, but using this option we would have to pass on the PayPal charges as an admin fee. We also accept payment in Euros, by bank transfer, at an agreed exchange rate.

Changeover day is flexible. Longer term lets during Autumn, Winter and Spring are welcome, please enquire.
